Road Trip Checklist

Before your family hits the road, pack the following for a more enjoyable and healthy trip.
- Map or directions – If you can’t get there, you can’t have fun! Plan for rest stops for longer trips.
- Camera to capture your family fun.
- For older kids, consider providing a journal to keep track of their travels and build memories.
- Clean-up materials like baby wipes, hand sanitizers and napkins.
- Pillows and blankets for a more comfortable car ride for kids in case they want to sleep.
- First Aid Kit – Just in case! Pack any medicines your child may need while traveling.
- For outdoor destinations, pack sunscreen, bug spray, hats, and a change of clothes, since kids love to get dirty and/or wet!
- Books to read or coloring books to color in order to keep kids entertained. For longer trips, consider packing a bag of new toys for the car.
- Trash bag to keep America beautiful.
- Emergency road kit for your car including jumper cables, flashlights, etc.
