Stay fit with these Kid Fit Fit Tips!
- Keep Active! Organize a neighborhood basketball or kickball game.
- Eat slower. It takes time for your body to realize when it’s full!
- Take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator whenever possible.
- Always stretch your muscles before and after you exercise.
- Be safe! Always stay with a buddy when playing outside!
- Start a walking club at your school and/or in your neighborhood.
- Eat only when you’re hungry, not bored.
- Learn a new sport.
- Don’t be afraid to try new, healthy foods like a fruit smoothie or dried fruit.
- Get your whole family moving with daily walks, bike riding, or dancing!

- Choose water or low-fat milk over soda and sugary fruit juice.
- Instead of watching TV, start a family game night.
- Eat only in the kitchen, NOT while watching TV.
- Pack healthy snacks on trips from home like fruit, popcorn, or pretzels.
- Eat fewer meals on the road.
- Eat dinner as a family whenever possible.
- Close the kitchen at 7pm to avoid late-night snacking.
