Family Fitness Fun

Here are some quick ideas on how your family can be more active and have fun together!
- Go on a family walk every day and bring the dog.
- Go on a family bike ride daily.
- Visit a neighborhood park or playground.
- Start a Family Game Night instead of watching TV during the evenings.
- Go roller skating or ice skating.
- Have a family basketball, kickball, or soccer game in the backyard.
- Put on some music and dance together.
- Have a Family Olympics with jump ropes, hopping on one foot, obstacle courses and/or relay races.
- Learn a new sport together as a family, such as tennis or skateboarding.
- Go bowling.
- When shopping or out-and-about, always take the stairs instead of the elevator.
- Visit a neighborhood YMCA or recreational center to swim.
- Go to a neighborhood school track for a jog.
- Clean the house together.
- Take a family hike at a nearby park or trail.
