As adults, more than 50% of Americans do not get enough physical activity to provide health benefits.*

This section is dedicated to providing parents and caregivers tools and ideas to help your family GET ACTIVE! Since a good example is always better than good advice, it is important that parents and caregivers make the commitment to become more active daily along with their children.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that children be active for 60 minutes or more each day, providing them with the below health benefits.

  • Develops healthy and strong bones;
  • Maintains proper blood pressure;
  • Reduces stress and anxiety;
  • Increases self-esteem and sense of well-being;
  • Helps maintain proper weight;
  • Helps your child perform better in school;

By making physical activity a part of your family’s daily routine, everyone will feel better overall, and will enjoy a little more family time!
