Happy Turkey Day Gobble, Gobble!

  • Even though it’s a Thanksgiving tradition to sit around after dinner and watch the long awaited match-ups in football, after indulging yourself in goodies and carbs, take a family walk to help burn off some of those calories.
  • If gathering the family for a walk won’t work, consider playing games such as charades or Pictionary. Games like these can be fun and get everyone involved. They also require you to be extremely active, if you want to win!
  • When making desserts find healthy alternatives to pumpkin pie; such as low-calorie, low-carb options. Substitute traditional ingredients with egg whites, low fat milk, and graham crackers for the crust. Your pie will have the same great taste without the calories!
